The pattern control system enables automated operation. It autonomously controls the solenoid valves on the application heads. The control system allows accurate and consistent hot melt adhesive application. The application is performed by calling up recipes or programme variants. The recipes make changing of the products to be bonded on the production line significantly faster. For example, when changing the cardboard packing material on a packaging line, there is no necessity to laboriously change the settings of the application heads. Up to 100 recipes can be programmed.

Operation of the pattern control system is carried out via a 7-inch touch screen and is intuitive. The control system is compatible with all BÜHNEN tank systems of the HB 4000, HB 5010 and HB 6000 series and application heads. Application of the adhesive is either time- or distance-controlled.

Use of the pattern control system can save up to 30% hot melt adhesive, as the adhesive can be applied in a series of small dots or beads, instead of a single long bead.
